Simone Sancandi
Simone Sancandi is admitted to practice before the Paris Court of Appeal and as a solicitor of the Senior Courts of England and Wales. He works on complex international litigation and arbitration cases.
Prior to joining AFFAKI, Simone trained and worked in the London, Paris and Manama offices of a leading international law firm. His practice spans Europe and the Middle East and focusses on finance, international trade, and corporate disputes.
Simone’s experience includes advising and representing clients in arbitral proceedings under the rules of the LCIA and of the BCDR, in enforcement proceedings instigated by the Dubai Financial Services Authority and in regulatory proceedings in the Dubai Financial Markets Tribunal. He has litigated in the Dubai International Financial Centre Courts, in the Bahrain High Court and in the Qatar Commercial Court. In France, he has litigated extensively in the commercial and civil Courts including in matters relating to the enforcement and recognition of foreign judgments and the setting aside of arbitral awards.
