Guillaume Aréou

Guillaume Aréou is admitted to practice before the Paris Court of Appeal. He works on complex international litigation and arbitration cases.
Prior to joining AFFAKI, Guillaume obtained a PhD from Nice Sophia-Antipolis University in International Investment Law. He trained and worked in the Geneva and Paris offices of leading international law firms. His practice spans Europe, Africa, and the Middle East.
Guillaume focuses on disputes in the construction, energy, and food industry sectors.
Guillaume’s experience includes advising and representing clients in commercial and investment arbitration proceedings under the ICSID, the ICC and the Swiss Arbitration Rules.
He represents corporations, state-entities, and States alike in complex and high-value disputes. He has also represented clients before the Paris Court of Appeal in annulment proceedings related to corruption allegations.
Guillaume regularly publishes articles and participates in conferences on international arbitration. He also lectures on international arbitration at French universities.
He works in French and English.
