Mohammad Abu Shaban

Mohammad Abu Shaban is a Senior Counsel at AFFAKI FZ LLC in the UAE. Based in Abu Dhabi, he has over 20 years of experience in corporate and commercial law, dispute management and business development in the United Arab Emirates and the wider Middle East.
He has extensive experience in dealings with governmental and semi-governmental authorities in the United Arab Emirates. He has worked across a broad range of sectors, including construction, engineering, energy, healthcare, financial services, insurance, logistics, education, real estate and industry.
He has served as a board secretary and as a member of executive and advisory committees.
He has taught Labour Law, Commercial Companies Law and Business Law at undergraduate and postgraduate levels at the New York Institute of Technology in Abu Dhabi. He has also written on corporate and commercial law for the UAE Arabic-language press.
He holds an LL.M. in Commercial Law from the University of the West of England and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Jordan.
He works in Arabic and English.
